The Chase Sapphire Reserve® has been redesigned to deliver a total value that far exceeds $2,700 annually, justifying its new, elevated position in the premium credit card market.
Annual Fee: The card now carries an annual fee of $795.
Authorized Users: $195 for each authorized user/additional card.
Focus: The card now functions as a “hybrid,” rewarding both luxury travel and high-end dining/lifestyle spending.
The main feature designed to compensate for the annual cost is the comprehensive array of credits across premium travel and lifestyle services.
| Annual Credit Benefit | Credit Value | Frequency |
| Annual Travel Credit | Up to $300 | Annually |
| The Edit Hotel Credit | Up to $500 | Annually (on stays of 2 nights or more, including breakfast and a $100 property credit) |
| Exclusive Dining Credit | Up to $300 | Biannually ($150 every 6 months at Sapphire Exclusive Tables partner restaurants) |
| StubHub Credit (Events/Tickets) | Up to $300 | Biannually ($150 every 6 months at StubHub and viagogo) |
Note: The sum of these credits ($300 Travel + $500 Hotels + $300 Dining) already exceeds the $795 annual fee, making this card a high net-value investment.
The rewards program has been optimized to maximize returns on travel and dining, featuring a powerful new redemption rule.
8x Points: On hotels, rental cars, and cruises booked through the Chase Travel℠ portal.
5x Points: On Lyft rides (rideshare service, valid through Sep 2027).
4x Points: On flights and hotels booked directly (outside the Chase portal).
3x Points: On dining (restaurants/meals) and other travel purchases (taxis, tolls, parking, etc.).
1x Point: On all other purchases.
The previous standard 1.5 cents per point redemption value has been replaced by the Points Boost, ensuring even greater value:
Your points can be worth up to 2x more (2 cents per point) when redeemed for specific selected travel (specific hotels and airfare) through the Chase Travel℠ portal.
For general redemptions in the portal, the value is 1 cent per point.
You still retain the powerful 1:1 point transfer option to premium airline and hotel partners (e.g., United Airlines, Southwest, and World of Hyatt).
